Bioactivity: Afoxolaner is an isoxazoline insecticide/acaricide against Ixodes scapularis in dogs. Afoxolaner acts on the insect GABA and glutamate receptors, inhibiting GABA & glutamate-regulated uptake of chloride ions, resulting in excess neuronal stimulation and death of the arthropod.
